Coping with the Diagnosis through
the Power of Your Words
During this session, the presenter will share her journey of coming to terms with her child’s diagnosis of Autism. She will show you how she used her words to increase her effectiveness in coping and interacting with her child. She also shares how the use of one particular word can help or prevent one from coping effectively with the diagnosis of autism. Basic facts and myths associated with the disorder also shared.
Understanding the Child through
the Power of Observation
Presenter will share how she learned to interact more effectively with her child through the power of observation. Class attendees are given the opportunity to participate in an interactive class assignment that helps them to better understand a child challenged with Autism.
Coordinating the Autism Support Team
During this session, attendees will have an opportunity to play Auti’Ball ™. This interactive session helps parents and other participants identify, develop, and strengthen their current Autism support team.
